Employment type: Part time - $15 per hour

Schedule: Shifts during open hours of Museum plus 15 minutes before opening and after closing, when needed. Occasional addition hours for special events.

The Frederic Remington Art Museum has an immediate opening for the position of Museum Interpreter. This part-time, paid position requires excellence in customer service for diverse audiences. The work of the Museum Interpreter involves welcoming visitors to the Museum, providing orientation to our site, answering visitor questions, and helping to provide a memorable experience. Interpreters process Museum admissions, memberships, shop sales, and fees for programs and events. The job includes answering the phone, and routine cleaning of Museum spaces to ensure the best possible visitor experience. Interpreters will occasionally assist with special events.  The work is performed under the general supervision of professional staff of the Museum, who outline procedures to be followed and explain how tasks are to be carried out. Availability during the Museum's operating hours, including weekdays and weekends, is required.
