GOUVERNEUR FARMERS MARKET OPENING DAY
SPRING SEASONAL PRODUCTS
In promotion of "Eating With the Seasons," GardenShare will be hosting opening days of the spring farmers markets to welcome in the delicious fruits and vegetables of the season. The opening day of the Gouverneur Farmers Market Spring Season will take place on Thursday, June 6th from 9:00am - 2:00pm. Due to construction currently happening in Gouverneur Village Park the market will be held in a temporary location at 276-286 East Main Street, Farley's Train Depot. The Market will relocate to the Village Park later in the season once construction has completed.
Spring is a fantastic time to get acquainted with the experience of eating with the seasons. While there are not as many produce options available during the month of May, the market is a fantastic opportunity to stock up on maple syrup, farm-fresh eggs, frozen meats, get transplants for your personal garden, or pick up some delicious baked goods! The county’s Farmers Markets are also wonderful places to find gifts including locally crafted items for your loved ones!
GardenShare is also excited to announce a $20/Day cost-sharing match for SNAP/EBT recipients through our Bonus Bucks program until June 30th! Starting July 1st, the Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) program will become available to offer the same $20/Day match for SNAP/EBT shoppers. The Gouverneur Farmers Market will be open through October 24, Thursdays from 9:00am - 2:00pm. Rain or shine. Support local farms, small businesses, and our environment by shopping at St. Lawrence County Farmers Markets this season!
