Canton author and renowned expert on the Amish, Dr. Karen Johnson-Weiner, draws on her 35 years of fieldwork in Amish communities and her correspondence with Amish women to consider how religiously defined roles of Amish women have changed - in particular, looking at women’s lives and activities at different ages and in different communities.  

We have invited Dr. Johnson-Weiner to join us for a discussion about the lives of Amish women.  There will be a brief introduction, followed by an audience-led Q&A.
