Description
ART HIGHLIGHTS & TEA
The Frederic Remington Art Museum kicks off its “Art Highlights & Tea” series on Wednesday, February 21. The program begins with a gallery talk by Museum Curator & Educator, Laura Desmond, to be followed by an elegant tea in the Museum’s parlors. Desmond will examine Remington’s explorations of race, whiteness, and masculinity, focusing on works featured in the current Centennial Exhibition.
The talk will take place at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 21, at the Frederic Remington Art Museum. The talk is free and open to the public, and will be presented in the Museum’s Addie P. Newell Gallery. After the presentation, at 3:00 pm, a delicious tea will be served in the Museum’s parlors. The tea ($15 for Museum members, $20 for non-members) is provided courtesy of Anne Skelly, Fran Moore, and friends. Please call (315) 393-2425, email info@fredericremington.org, or reserve seats for the tea through the Museum’s online shop.
