Westelcom Business Solutions Account Executive

SLIC Network Solutions, Inc. d/b/a SLICFiber®, a rapidly expanding fiber optic telecommunications company operating throughout New York State, is seeking a full-time Business Account Executive to join its Westelcom Business Solutions team. The Business Account Executive will be responsible for identifying and establishing new telecommunication services with businesses, other carriers and enterprise customers. The position requires prospecting, business development and an intense focus on customer needs. The successful candidate will be a careful listener, skilled problem solver and creative engager who drives solid revenue growth while also emphasizing customer retention through excellence in customer relationship management. Intrastate travel will be required. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Prospect, arrange meetings, deliver presentations and close the sale of network services to business, enterprise and carrier customers. • Meet or exceed assigned monthly quota, established sales goals and objectives. • Build and maintain relationships with prospects, partners, and customers. • Maintain a database of targeted customers, documenting their needs and time frames for potential new business opportunities. • Serve as liaison between the customer and the internal engineering team for all technical resources needed to assess and design network solutions. • Manage sales pipeline for designated accounts, and progress opportunities through sales funnel. • Write proposals, submit quotes, and negotiate contracts with customers and partners. • Work with Service Delivery to ensure that post-sale implementation occurs effectively, and in a manner that exceeds the customer’s needs. COMPENSATION/BENEFITS: SLICFiber® puts great value in the Westelcom Business Account Executive position by offering a foundational annual salary coupled with nearly unlimited upside potential. SLICFiber® also offers excellent benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid holidays, paid time off along with access to 401(k) retirement plan. Base salary $35,000 - $55,000 depending on experience and qualifications, plus sales commission, retention fees and benefits. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in business or technology, or equivalent experience required. • 5+ years of successful telecommunications sales experience. • Solid understanding of telecommunications and high-capacity network solutions. • Strong public relations skills. • Effective and efficient time management. • High level of written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to think strategically and work effectively with a diverse group of co-workers and customers. Experience selling at a C-level is preferred. • Must be willing to travel. • Valid state driver’s license.
