Community Prevocational Supervisor II - Canton, NY
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work – Monday- Friday 7:30 am-4:00 pm. Flexible to the needs of the program, may include evening and weekend hours.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, or related program with one year of supervisory experience preferred; OR AA/AS Degree in Human services or related program and three years of experience in a vocational setting; OR High School Diploma and five years of experience in a vocational setting and 1 year of supervisory experience required. Experience working with people with disabilities is preferred. Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License with an acceptable driving history per the agency’s insurance requirements.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance – Authorized to work in the United States and pass all background clearances.
Summary/Objective - Responsible for the complete oversight of the Community Prevocational Program to include any regulatory changes and/or updates. Responsible for each assigned person’s we support vocational plan of service and required program documentation. Responsible for the supervision of the Community Prevocational Professionals and Prevocational Counselor, Responsible for the oversight and implementation of staff training. Keep the Administrator of Community Based Employment & Community Prevocational Services informed of any concerns and/or updates.

- Ensure compliance with OPWDD and Department of Labor regulations for Community Based Prevocational.
- Responsible for annual assessments for the program.
- Provide daily interventions with persons we support and work in cooperation with all program staff to promote Independence, Integration, Individualization and Productivity.
- Assist persons we support to gain access to needed community services and supports.
- Ensure protective oversight for all the people we support in work/training programs.
- Work jointly with the Administrator of Community Based Employment & Community Prevocational Services on all program related issues that affect production and/or volunteer sites.
- Oversight of the accuracy of CBPV ISP programs, annual and semi-annual reviews, habilitative plans, monthly notes, and six-month reviews of progress on Therap.
- Ensure that T-logs and GER data entries are completed as necessary.
- Complete admission documentation for Community Based Prevocational Services, including documents needed on CHOICES.
- Identify and help address barriers that may hinder persons we support progress toward supported employment.
- Complete all required documentation for monthly billing to ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Responsible for all intakes for the Community Prevocational Program.
- Responsible for developing schedules of activities for persons we support and staff and adjusting accordingly.
- Assist with obtaining and establishing activities in the community to include clear communication and satisfaction with volunteer sites.
- Develop and implement Community Based Prevocational non-job specific skill-building activities for people we support.

Travel – As needed within St. Lawrence County and Jefferson County.
