May Topic: An overview of the NYS Minority and/or Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) certification process. We'll discuss the benefits of being MWBE certified with NYS, how to tackle the application process, common mistakes to avoid, and will have a live Q&A session following the presentation.
Presenter: Ryan Smith, Division of Minority and Women's Business Development. Ryan holds an MBA from the University at Albany. Prior to providing independent consulting and business development, spent over a decade on a commodities trading desk with an Investment bank and several energy companies. Joined Empire State Development’s Division of Minority and Women’s Business Development in November 2018.
