Description
Join the Local Food Program Leader and Master Food Preserver, Flip Filippi, in this fun, informative online food demonstration. Flip will share her enthusiasm for making these flavor-packed condiments. The course will cover the three primary methods to make hot sauce: raw purees, cooked and fermented. The recipes will use a variety of peppers with varying heat levels, including ancho, jalapenos, habanero and ghost. By the end of the session the goal is for everyone to have the tools to select their preferred method along with the skills the create hot sauces at home with the produce and peppers available. The ingredients for the course are sourced from local growers and tips for finding ingredients in your region will be covered. The recipes will be shared with registrants and there will be time for questions throughout the session. This class is made available on a sliding scale from $0-30. If you are able to contribute towards continued programming, your support is appreciated. Pre-registration required; the session will take place on the platform Zoom.
