5:00 pm - 6:30 pm: Open house with WISER Center and SUNY Potsdam Campus Food Pantry Tours and student poster showcases about local food and food justice initiatives.
Check in at the WISER Center to participate
5:30 pm: Social hour and cash bar access begin in Thatcher Hall
6:15 pm - 8:30 pm: Local foods dinner provided by PACES with programming to acknowledge our volunteers and highlight our 2019 GardenShare Growing Community Award recipient, Laurell Brault.
Check in at Thatcher Hall if you arrive after 6:15
Location
Stowell Hall, Dunn Hall, and Thatcher Hall at SUNY Potsdam.
Fees/Admission
Although the event is free, we are asking attendees to please bring some items to support the SUNY Potsdam Campus Food Pantry (as they are able). Items in demand are:
- Fruit, like apples and bananas (shelf stable)
- Yogurt (single serve)
- Cheese (small packs or string cheese)
- Eggs
- Pasta and sauces
- Brown rice
- Low-sugar peanut butter
- Whole wheat and multigrain bread
- Dry beans
- Canned beans
- Whole wheat tortillas
- Salsa
- Refried beans
- Canned soups
- Frozen veggies and fruit
- Cereal
- Oatmeal
- Small packs of nuts and trail mix (without chocolate/candy)
Gluten free and vegan options are appreciated

Description
Join us on November 7th for our 2019 Growing Community Social at SUNY Potsdam*. Come learn about local food and food justice efforts, recognize our volunteers, and honor Laurell Brault from the Potsdam Snack Pack Program with our Growing Community Award.
Schedule:
5:00 pm - 6:30 pm: Open house with WISER Center, SUNY Potsdam Campus Food Pantry Tours, and student poster showcases about local food and food justice initiatives. Check in at the WISER Center to participate.
