Food sampling in Potsdam

The Potsdam Food Co-op's 3rd Thursday Sampling will be held on Thursday, March 21st from 3:30 - 5:30pm. Featured this month will be Lavva Yogurt; a dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan yogurt, and a new item at the Co-op. Lavva Yogurt is made from plants with real food ingredients. It contains no added sugar, gum thickeners, carrageenan, artificial additives, flavors, or colors and is compatible with vegan, paleo, and Whole30 diets. This yogurt also contains both prebiotics and probiotics. When it comes to gut health, probiotics are only part of the story. Because probiotics need prebiotics for fuel, each cup of Lavva is packed with food-based prebiotics and 50 billion live vegan probiotics per serving, for complete gut health. The Co-op will be sampling four delicious flavors on Thursday: Plain, Vanilla, Strawberry, and Pineapple. The Potsdam Food Co-op is located at 24 Elm St. Open daily from 8am to 7pm it is a member-owned cooperative grocery store (although membership is not required), where everyone is welcome to shop and anyone is welcome to join. Committed to the community and local sustainability, its emphasis is on providing natural and organic foods with the practice of buying from local and regional growers and producers. There are daily offerings from the Co-op’s natural foods deli, and artisan breads and sweets from its bakery, which features a wood-fired oven.
