"CBD Day" on Feature Friday in Potsdam

The Potsdam Food Co-op presents, “Feature Friday”, a new monthly event at the Co-op. On June 7th, in conjunction with annual Hemp History Week, the Co-op will present CBD Day, a focus on CBD (non-psychoactive Cannabidiol) which is derived from the hemp plant. While the FDA prohibits any claims being made about its effectiveness, CBD has been shown in many cases to help treat anxiety, depression, inflammation, insomnia, pain, and some forms of epilepsy. From 11am - 3pm on Friday, June 7th customers will have the opportunity to sample a selection of the CBD products sold in the Co-op including: lotions, oils, tinctures, and bottled tea. Samples of CBD salve will also be available to take home. A knowledgeable staff member will be on hand to answer questions about Cannabidiol and the products for sale in the Co-op. A basket of CBD products valuing more than $200 will also be raffled on Friday. Items included are: hand and body lotion, oil, tea, a bath bomb, and more. Shoppers will receive 5 tickets for every $50 store purchase, this day only. Ticket for the basket raffled will also be available for $1 each. The Potsdam Food Co-op & Carriage House Bakery is located at 24 Elm St. and open daily from 8am to 7pm. It is a member-owned cooperative grocery store (although membership is not required) where everyone is welcome to shop and anyone is welcome to join.
