Description
The St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce will host a Lunch & Learn Webinar on Thursday, July 13 at noon, presenting "Harvest Kitchen at the Extension Learning Farm". In this webinar, Maria "Flip" Filippi, Local Foods Program Leader & Harvest Kitchen Manager of Cornell Cooperative Extension SLC, will discuss how to determine which permit you will need when making a food product to sell to the public. She will discuss the differences between Department of Health Food Service Permit, Ag and Markets 20C Food Processing License, and Home Processing Registration. The session will cover which products can be made with each designation, basic labeling requirements and resources to get additional information. The webinar will be approximately 30-minutes with a Q&A to follow the presentation, and supporting materials will be provided.
Flip is the Manager of a shared-use kitchen in Canton called the Harvest Kitchen at the Extension Learning Farm, which is rented by multiple food entrepreneurs. She advises beginning stage food businesses in 1-1 consultation, webinars and in-person workshops. Visit HERE for more info on the Harvest Kitchen.
