Tickets on Sale for Second Annual Jazz Benefit for Autism Awareness in Canton
CANTON, N.Y. — Tickets are now on sale for the second annual Jazz Benefit for Autism Awareness, an evening of music and advocacy featuring local quintet Five Dots.
The event, hosted by the Institute for Learning Centered Education (ILCE) in partnership with the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, will take place Saturday, April 18, at 7 p.m. at the Best Western University Inn.
Proceeds from the evening directly support the ILCE mission to provide vital services and public resources for individuals on the autism spectrum.
“The shared experiences, relationship building, and personal touch contribute to our uniqueness and overall success,” said Marlene Pickering, a member of the ILCE Autism Initiative Board of Directors.
The Best Western will be transformed into a cozy, cabaret-style setting. To ensure an intimate experience, capacity is limited to 120 guests.
This year’s headliner, Five Dots, is known for an eclectic mix of jazz standards, original compositions, and reimagined R&B hits. The quintet features Hailey Hodge on vocals, John Danis on electric wind instrument and vocals, the Rev. James Galasinski on bass, Ben Richey on drums, and Tim Savage on piano.
Call for Young Talent In an effort to showcase the next generation of local musicians, the ILCE is currently seeking talented performers under the age of 25 to fill a few remaining performance slots. Interested youth musicians are encouraged to apply by emailing the institute at institutelce@gmail.com.
Ticket Information Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Reservations can be made online at https://tinyurl.com/5yzdhcuc.
