The itineraries were sponsored and curated by the Chamber’s tourism team, taking the well-known content creator on an immersive culinary journey which featured locally owned establishments across the county.
“Bringing Anthony here was an ideal way for us to promote our local restaurant scene in an authentic way,” said Tiffani Amo, Director of Tourism for the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce. “The food itineraries we’ve published online are important marketing tools for our more traditional tourism promotion efforts, but this type of social media exposure and engagement is something that resonates with both visitors and residents in a completely different way. It’s also a unique and exciting form of promotion for local business owners, which is important because we want them to be engaged and invested in how they’re represented through a tourism lens.”
Tringale’s first visit took place on November 1, 2024, with stops at Foster the Plant (Potsdam), Barking Dog Saloon (Potsdam), Hoof and Horn Butcher and Eatery (Potsdam), Jake’s On the Water (Hannawa Falls), Sabad’s (Norfolk), and Blue House (Madrid).
Returning on March 28, 2025, “Eat Local New York” explored another set of culinary gems, including Wimpy’s Inn (Ogdensburg), The Place (Ogdensburg), Gristmill Brewery (Massena), and 1844 House (Potsdam).
The influencer’s visits have already generated excitement among food lovers and travelers, bringing well-deserved recognition to St. Lawrence County’s growing restaurant scene. An initial post announcing Tringale’s first visit in November has accumulated more than 186,000 views on Instagram alone. Followers of “Eat Local New York” are encouraged to keep an eye out for upcoming content on social media, where Tringale will share highlights, reviews, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of his St. Lawrence County dining experiences, including a featured podcast.
In addition to these influencer-led explorations, the Chamber has launched three new “Foodie Fun” itineraries designed to help visitors discover the best local flavors across the county, with regional focuses on eateries in the St. Lawrence Seaway, the River Valley, and the Adirondack Foothills. These efforts are part of a broader tourism marketing campaign aimed at attracting visitors to the county in a way that supports existing local businesses and assets in an authentic way.
