Ticks Through Time: Ticks and the Changing Climate of the North Country
Ticks and the diseases they carry are an increasing issue here in St. Lawrence County. Join Nick Hamilton-Honey from Cornell Cooperative Extension to learn how to identify ticks, prevent potential exposure, and control tick-borne disease in your own backyard. Nick will also explore how climate change is influencing other local species, environments, and weather patterns in unprecedented ways. Pre-registration is recommended. Register online, call the main office at 315-386-8133, or e-mail carlene@slcha.org.
About Nick: Nick Hamilton-Honey is the Natural Resource and Sustainable Energy Educator for CCE of SLC. They are also the Energy Navigator Volunteer Coordinator for the North Country. They enjoy working in the community and helping residents of St. Lawrence County and the North Country to get answers for energy and natural resource questions. When they are not helping community members, they enjoy spending time with friends, playing Dungeons & Dragons, cooking, hiking, swimming, gardening, and loving their Tibetan Spaniel, Eli.
