THE LANDING OF ABBE PIQUET
The Fort La Présentation Association will present a reenactment of the historic landing of Abbe Piquet at the confluence of the St. Lawrence and Oswegatchie Rivers on the site of Fort de La Présentation 275 years ago. At this location the Abbe built a French Mission which laid the foundation for the City of Ogdensburg.
A historical presentation will follow the reenactment on Founding of Fort la Présentation, given by Julie Madlin, Ogdensburg City Historian and President of the Ogdensburg History Museum. A reception will conclude the event in celebration of the 275th anniversary.
