Potsdam Fright Night
The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce will host their 2024 Fright Night on Thursday, October 24 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The free event will take place on Market Street in Potsdam. Over thirty clubs, civic groups and businesses will be hosting a trunk for Trunk or Treat. Several businesses will be handing out candy at their storefronts including Jernabi Coffeehouse, 3TK Potsdam, Brick & Mortar Music, Second Glance, Horn and Hoof Butcher and Eatery, NovaWick & Co. and Northern Ice and Dance.There will be new and exciting additions to the event, as well some of the event favorites. The Rotary Club of Potsdam will host a Haunted Hallway and children’s book distribution at 12 Main Street. Potsdam Dance Company is scheduled to perform at 7:00 p.m. and the North Country Children’s Museum will be partnering with Clarkson University students to offer spooky science experiments, both on Market Street. The Potsdam Fire Department will have a truck at the event for all to explore. The Third Wheel Pottery Studio will host a Spooky Halloween themed kid’s craft and opportunity to play with clay around the corner at their studio located at 22 Depot St. Suite 15 in the Market Square Mall.
The Chamber will have prizes for the Best Trunk, Couples Costume, Best Family Costume, Best Adult Costume, Best Teen Costume, and Best Children’s Costume.
