Ogdensburg American Revolution Exhibit Opening
Presented by: Ogdensburg History Museum & Ogdensburg Public Library
This exhibit showcases Fort Oswegatchie’s role in the American Revolution and its impact on the local community. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the city's history and its contributions to the fight for independence.
- Special Guest Speaker, Dr. Melissane Schrems, Associate Professor of History at St. Lawrence University. Specializing in American colonial history and Native American history, Dr. Schrems insights and knowledge will provide a deeper understanding of the exhibit and the North Country’s role in the revolution.
- Colonial treats available for attendees to enjoy. These delicious treats will transport visitors back in time and give them a taste of what life was like during the American Revolution.
- Scavenger hunt with exciting prizes to be won. Interactive activity for visitors to explore and learn more about The City of Ogdensburg's history.
- Special Display of American Revolution books recommended by PBS. This display will provide visitors with a list of recommended readings to continue their learning and exploration of this pivotal time in American history.
- The Ogdensburg History Museum and Ogdensburg Public Library are thrilled to come together to commemorate the American Revolution and share the city's rich history with the community. This event is just the beginning of a year-long celebration that will include various educational and entertaining activities for all ages.
