The Wachtmeister Field Station is located just south of the St. Lawrence University campus on Park Street/County Route 27 in Canton. If approaching from Canton Village, it is the first driveway on the left after passing over the wooden bow bridge over the Little River. If approaching from the south, the Field Station is the third driveway on the right after passing Kunoco. Wachtmeister Field Station has a single indoor restroom.

Join Nature Up North on Thursday night from 7:00pm - 9:00pm, July 6th for our Bat Campfire! As always, s’mores are provided, and stay for as long as you’d like, but that’s not all. Although we might spot a few in the woods during our Kip Trail mini excursion, it’s no coincidence some bats live in caves… They rock. Following a light walk through the woods, we’ll be heading back to the fire for s’mores and poetry where we’ll open our ears, minds and hearts to make connections to the bats in our backyard and other organisms in our shared environment! Can’t wait to see you there!
