NORWOOD VILLAGE GREEN CONCERT SERIES
The Norwood Village Green Concert Series celebrates their 51st this summer with weekly performances at the Liotta Bandshell on the Green. Bring a blanket and chairs and enjoy a variety musical genres, Thursday and Sunday evenings at 7:00pm*. Concerts feature local musicians and nationally recognized Grammy Award winning artists performing a variety of music featuring: Americana, blues, jazz, folk, wind ensembles, rock and more! - NVGCS is a non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to provide a free outdoor series for the community of St. Lawrence County and beyond.

A music education event with student performing groups from St. Lawrence County Schools hosted by the Norwood Village Green Concert Series in collaboration with the St. Lawrence County Music Educators Association.
Thursday, June 6 | Music from China to Appalachia
Two-time Grammy Award recipients Cathy Fink and March Marxer join Chinese classical hammer dulcimer player Chao Tian. Workshops and a concert for Norwood Norfolk Central School students and an evening performance for the general public.
Thursday, June 13 | Foolish Pride
Trevor Blank and Ben Lacy sharing dual guitar and lead vocals, Carter Jones on bass and vocal harmonies, Josh Barkley on keys, and Sean Tierson hammering home the rhythm on drums.
Thursday, June 20 | Northern Symphonic Winds
Northern New York's only professional wind ensemble.
Sunday, June 23 | Seo Jungmin
A Korean Gayageum artist and composer who pushes the boundaries between traditional and contemporary music with her exceptional skills on the 25 string Gayageum. As a member of the renowned Korean traditional music duo Su:m, Seo Jungmin has earned global recognition through performances at major festivals such as WOMEX, WOMAD, and SXSW.

Sunday, July 7 | The All Star Big Band
Under the direction of Wally Siebel with guest artists Kim Nazzarian (lead vocalist of NY Voices), her husband Jay Ashby (a 5-time Grammy winner as an arranger, producer, and chairman of the Oberlin Conservatory's Jazz Department on trombone), and their son Ian Ashby on the bass. Jay and Ian will perform with the All Star Big Band.
Sunday, July 14 | Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper
Born blind and almost deaf in one ear, Michael Cleveland has attained legendary status as one of the greatest fiddlers of his or any other generation. The Grammy Award recipient has been nominated for his 2nd Grammy in 2024. Michael has also been awarded the National Endowment For The Arts National Heritage Medal.
Thursday, July 18 | String Solstice
Local musicians Mike Welsh, Jennifer Hubbard Kessier, Chip Lamson, Chris Hosmer, and Larry Baycura offer a unique blend of contemporary folk-like songs.
Sunday, July 21 | Pasquaia ILabaca and Fauna
This Santiago band performs original and folk-rock music of the Andes and Chile. There will be a participatory demonstration of Chilean rhythms at 5pm.
Thursday, July 25 | Norwoodstock featuring Northbound
A Star-studded cast of several dozen local musicians performing for the benefit of the Norwood-Norfolk-Raymondville Outreach Program. Northbound will be the featured house band.
Sunday, July 28 | Jordan Davidson and Toni Zyglado, Maria Tartaglia and Jeffrey Hinkie
A vocal concert with music from Broadway to contemporary gems.
Thursday, August 1 | Shimul Zaman and Clove, Chai of Bangladesh
Music from India and Bangladesh led by Norwood resident and Bangladesh native Shimul Zaman and Friends.
Sunday, August 4 | The Dave North Trio
From the English and Irish pub scene. Diane Murray Warburton, a native of Norwood, is a member of this group.
Thursday, August 8 | The Norwood Brass Firemen
Norwood's own Fire Department Band, featuring various brass and percussive instruments.

The Norwood Village Green Concert Series is a non-profit organization founded to impact local communities via inspiring and spirit-uplifting outdoor performances. It was conceived and co-founded by Joseph and Harriet Liotta in 1974. The series anticipates hosting 750,000 audience members and presenting its 818th concert event in 2024. The Norwood Village Green Concert Series prides itself in its programming for children and youth, additional programming at Norwood Norfolk Central School, as well as its long history of giving opportunities for student musician performances on the Green. The series always tries to present its offerings in the spirit of community whether the performer is the beginning student or the internationally recognized super-star artist. In 2024 the countries to be represented include China, Korea, Chile, Bangladesh, and India. This is the most diverse outdoor concert series in Northern New York State. With the addition of its 2024 performers the series has presented 31 Grammy recipients and many other prestigious award recipients over the years.
