Description
The Norwood Village Green Concert Series celebrates their 50th anniversary this summer with weekly performances at the Liotta Bandshell on the Green. Bring a blanket and chairs and enjoy a variety musical genres, Sunday and Thursday evenings at 7:00pm*, June 1 through August 13*. Concerts feature local musicians and nationally recognized Grammy Award winning artists performing a variety of music featuring: Americana, blues, jazz, folk, wind ensembles, rock and more!

- NVGCS is a non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to provide a free outdoor series for the community of St. Lawrence County and beyond.

Thursday, June 1: SLCMEA*
A music education event with The Phoenix Jazz Cooperative, performing with various soloists and groups from the St. Lawrence County Schools, giving the opportunity to perform with professional artists. *Special extended performance beginning at 6:00pm.
Thursday, June 8: Galumpha*
A physical dance comedy combining stunning acrobatics, striking visual effects, physical comedy and inventive choreography. Galumpha brings to life a world of imagination, beauty, muscle and merriment. *Morning workshops for NNCS, a 1:00pm concert for NNCS, and an evening concert at 7:00pm for the general public.
Thursday, June 15: The Goddard Girls/The Dotys
Goddard Girls (Holly and Brooke of Nicholville), and the Dotys (Liesl and Karl of Potsdam) Fiddle music from Liesl Doty, a fiddle/violin master, and her student Holly Goddard. Liesl Schoenberger Doty is Assistant Professor of Violin at the Crane School of Music and Karl Doty is the Headmaster and 5th grade teacher at St. Catherine Academy, Canton.
Sunday, June 18: Annie and the Hedonists
An eclectic mix of acoustic blues, vintage jazz and swing, and folk roots Americana.
Thursday, June 22: Northern Symphonic Winds
Northern New York's only professional Wind Ensemble. The 46-52 piece ensemble is comprised of faculty from the Crane School of Music.
Sunday, June 25: John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band
Led by Grammy Award recipient, John Jorgenson J2B2 is an all-star bluegrass super group featuring four legendary, award-winning musicians. John on acoustic guitar, mandolin and vocals; Herb Pedersen on banjo, acoustic guitar and vocals; Mark Fain on bass and Patrick Sauber on acoustic guitar and vocals. Jorgenson and Pedersen are founders of the formative country group, Desert Rose Band.
Thursday, June 29: Theresa Bearfox/Maria Tartaglia and Nicole White
Music from Akwesasne performed by Theresea Bearfox, followed by a duet from Maria and Nicole, two upcoming local teenagers.
Sunday, July 2: Dan Duggan/Magpie*
Dan will be conducting a community dance on the Village Green at 6:00pm. Magpie, WHAMMY Award Winners, will be performing traditional, Americana, Contemporary and stirring original compositions at 7:00pm. *Special extended performance beginning at 6:00pm.
Thursday, July 6: The All Star Big Band
Directed by Wally Siebel with Guest Artist Michael Dubaniewicz, saxophone.
Sunday, July 9: La Banda Morisca
Six musicians playing the music of the Morisca culture of Andalusia and supported by Iber Exchange, a program of Mid Atlantic Arts in collaboration with Ibermúsicas and made possible through the generous support from the National Endowment for the Arts? Regional Touring Program.
Sunday, July 16: Phil Hurley
Playing Phil's originals, a native son of Potsdam and now a son of Texas.
Thursday, July 20: Paul Meyers/Phoebe Hunt
Paul Meyers jazz guitar master. Pheoebe Hunt will be performing solo with fiddle and voice from her 2023 release "Nothing Else Matters".
Sunday, July 23: Ursa and the Major Key/Divided Roads*
Ursa and the Major Key are an indie/psychedelic rock band from Plattsburgh, NY. Divided Roads will be playing a wide variety of pop/rock music. *Special extended performance beginning at 6:00pm.
Thursday, July 27: Tres Souls
Classic Bolero from Mexican films of the 30's & 40's, performed by this Los Angeles trio.
Sunday, July 30: Ustad Shaffat Khan
Sitar master and accompanying musicians.
Thursday, August 3: Norwoodstock
A celebratory gathering of local musicians with surprises and felicitations, Curated by Andy Van Duyne.
Sunday, August 6: Brad Byrd/Ray Lambiase Group
Brad Byrd with his original songs and the Ray Lambiase Group and original songs by Ray. Ray is a veteran singer-songwriter who was with the Racquette River Rounders at their beginning.
Thursday, August 10: Brass Firemen
Norwood's own and the original inspiration for the Norwood Village Green Concert Series. 1872-1945 known as The Norwood Band. 1946-present officially known as The Norwood Volunteer Fire Department Band. 1971-present also and affectionately known as The Brass Firemen.
Sunday, August 13: Ranky Tanky
Gullah laced South Carolina Low Country Supergroup and two time Grammy winner, 2020 and 2023.
