Description
Join Nature Up North on a fall colors hike on the Stone Valley trail. We'll admire the bright autumn and cascading falls on this approximately 3 mile out and back hike. Along the way, we'll discuss the science behind leaf color change, and what the timing of fall foliage means for forest health. The trail parallels a scenic stretch of the Raquette River as it drops dramatically through Stone Valley along a series of waterfalls. Good walking shoes, a rain jacket, extra water, and a camera are recommended. This hike is great for families and those interested in learning more about North Country forests.
