Ice Cream Social event on August 19th from 12-3pm during Feature Friday at the Potsdam Food Co-op The Potsdam Food Co-op will present an Ice Cream Social during their 3rd Feature Friday in August. During this special event from 12 - 3pm on August 19th five flavors of Alden's Organic Ice Cream will be featured and available for tasting: Vanilla Bean, Vanilla & Chocolate Swirl, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Mint Chip, and Strawberry. All are organic and each 48 oz tub will be on sale - $2 off during the entire month of August. Since 2004 Alden’s Organic Ice Cream has been sourcing organic milk and cream from family owned farms where cows enjoy plenty of fresh air, graze a minimum of 120 days, are never treated with rBST, and eat feed that is 100% organic. Aldens promises that they include in their ice cream ‘only the good stuff’: no high fructose corn syrup, no artificial sweeteners, no artificial flavoring, no GMOs, no carrageenan, and no antibiotics. They are also certified gluten-free and kosher certified. On the August 19th Feature Friday, samples of this delicious ice cream will be offered: $3 for one scoop and $5 for two of any flavor, served either in a bowl, on an organic sugar cone or a gluten-free sugar cone. During this Ice Cream Social there will also be a free raffle for a tub of Alden’s Organic Vanilla & Chocolate Swirl for a lucky winner to take home! The Potsdam Food Co-op & Carriage House Bakery and Deli is located at 24 Elm Street, open daily from 8am to 7pm with curbside service available. It is a member-owned cooperative grocery store (although membership is not required) where everyone is welcome to shop and anyone is welcome to join.
