TOTAL ECLIPSE VIEWING AT BARNHART BEACH WITH ACTIVITIES BY NICANDRI NATURE CENTER

MASSENA, NY

Parking at Barnhart Beach within Robert Mosses State Park lot will be open for parking for approximately 250 cars for the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8th. Staff from the Nature Center will be at the Marina Pavilion providing presentations on Totality and various educational activities. The Nature Center will provide a few sun protected telescopes, binoculars, etc. and can answer eclipse related questions for visitors and share the excitement about the Totality. They will also have crafts to fill time while watching the partial eclipse phases, outdoor games and a fun playlist going. FREE solar eclipse glasses will be available for those in attendance.

• Limited staffing on-site to assist with parking when you arrive. All traffic in the Park on the 8th will be directed to the designated parking area.
• Parking is at the beach with a 5-10 minute walk to viewing at the marina (watching from the beach lot/area is allowed as well).
• Access is limited to designated parking areas - expect other roads to be closed within the park. Once the capacity is reached access to the park will close.
• Seasonal RMSP buildings will not be open.
• Bring your own chairs, snacks, drinks (non-alcoholic only).
• Porta-jons will be located near the Beach tollbooth and the Marina Pavilion.
• Carry in – carry out. 
• No overnight accommodations. 
• Please note that cell reception may be limited at the marina.
