Cookie sampling on “Feature Friday” in Potsdam

This month the Potsdam Food Co-op rolls out a new sampling program titled “Feature Friday”! Each Friday from 12 - 2pm items from the store and the Co-op’s Bakery and Deli will be highlighted and offered for sampling. On Friday, December 20th Sugar Cookies from the Co-op’s Bakery will be featured along with Watkin's decorating sugars and sprinkles, and their natural food dyes. These delicious homemade cookies will be adorned with homemade frosting, colored with Watkins natural food coloring, and then decorated with their sugars and sprinkles. Watkins Natural Food Coloring are unlike other food colors that use FD&C dyes. They are free from artificial colors and made by nature, derived from pure vegetable juices and spices. Watkins decorating sugars and sprinkles are also free from artificial dyes, making them the perfect partner for their natural food coloring. Made with natural colorings, their sugars and sprinkles are vibrant without using FD&C colors. Boxes of "Decorate Your Own" cookies will be available for sale from the Bakery, complete with the decorating sugars. Watkins decorating sugars and sprinkles are also on sale in the store for the month of December and available if people wish to purchase them separately and bake their own cookies. The Potsdam Food Co-op is located at 24 Elm Street and open daily from 8am to 7pm. It is a member-owned cooperative grocery store (although membership is not required) where everyone is welcome to shop and anyone is welcome to join.
