The tradition continues! The St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the 30th annual Canton Winterfest taking place on February 6 - February 15, 2026. Canton Winterfest is an annual town-wide event filled with 10-days of community programming, shopping discounts, and recreational activities to highlight local businesses and celebrate everything that makes Canton, NY a great place to live.

The St. Lawrence County Center for History & Culture is excited to be participating in Winterfest once again this year!
The SLCHC will host a variety of in-person and virtual events on February 6 and February 10-13: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Family Fun
All you can eat Pancake Breakfast at Canton United Methodist Church | 8AM - NOON
$8.50 per person. Breakfast includes pancakes with real maple syrup, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, homemade donut holes, toast, juice, and your choice of coffee or tea. 

Cardboard Sled Races by Nature Up North at SUNY Canton | 10AM
Join the folks from Nature Up North for a morning of sledding at the SUNY Canton Sledding Hill on sleds you create yourself from cardboard. Teams or individuals are invited to enter, and each sled must carry one team member. Registration is from 10:00 - 10:30. The "parade of sleds" and sled judging will begin at 10:30, with the races immediately thereafter. Sleds will be judged overall, for special categories, and by division for the fastest time! Approved materials: Cardboard, duct tape, recycled plastic bags, paint, and glue. Divisions: Youth (12 and under), Open (13 and up), Family (multi-ages) and College. Register Here

Christmas Tree Burning at Canton Apple | 1PM
Canton Apple beverages will be available along with One Steep at a Time tea and St. Lawrence Valley Roasters with coffee. If there is snow, snowshoeing or skiing around our orchards and meadows is encouraged.

Little River Winterfest at Little River Community School | 1PM-4PM
22nd annual family fun event, with free live music and activities including snow castles, petting miniature donkeys, colored snow, indoor craft projects, chess, face painting, and more. Hot cider and cookies will be served. Rain or shine. Snow or no.
