4:30pm - 6:00pm: Carp School (mandatory for all 1st time participants)
Friday, August 4th:
6:00am - 7:00am: Report to designated town location to receive specific location and Peg #
7:00am - 12:00pm: Fishing, Fishing, Fishing!
12:00pm - 1:00pm: Mandatory Lunch Break (no fishing, no casting, no baiting)
1:00pm - 8:00pm: Fishing, Fishing, Fishing!
Saturday, August 5th:
6:00am - 7:00am: Report to designated town location to receive specific location and Peg #
7:00am - 4:00pm: Fishing, Fishing, Fishing! (End of Tournament)
5:30pm - 6:30pm: Pizza Party at Madrid-Waddington Central School
12:00pm - 1:00pm: Mandatory Lunch Break (no fishing, no casting, no baiting)
6:30pm - 8:00pm: Closing Awards Ceremony with lots of special prizes!

Description
The 20th St. Lawrence International Junior Carp Fishing Tournament is a Catch & Release Fishing Event held on August 3 - 5, 2023 in Waddington, NY. The three day event will include two days of fishing along a 30 mile stretch of the St. Lawrence River. Trophies and Cash Prizes, are awarded to winners & runners up.

Who is Eligible?
Participants must be ages 11 - 18 to Register, and are eligible for trophies and cash prizes.
Adults may also fish, if done so with a child, but are only eligible for medals.
(4) Age Divisions:
11 - 14 Girls
11 - 14 Boys
15 - 18 Girls
15 - 18
Awards:
Prizes are awarded in each of the (4) Divisions, based on heaviest (4) carp caught, as follows:
1st Place - Trophy and $800
2nd Place - Trophy and $400
3rd Place - Trophy and $200
Overall Grand Champion - an additional $1,000
Teams:
Participants all complete indiviually, however, may also be part of a Team of (2) - (4) people.
1st Place: Gold Medal
2nd Place: Silver Medal
3rd Place: Bronze Medal

There is also a large variety of miscellaneous awards that vary from year to year including: first fish, last fish, smallest fish, biggest fish, good effort, and special catch).
