Consider This: Trooper of the Plains 1868
Presented by the Frederic Remington Art Museum.
Sponsored by The Enchanted Edible Forest at Cross Island Farms.
Remington's twenty-first bronze subject, The Trooper of the Plains 1868, comes from his desire to record a moment of frontier history. Remington chose to depict this U.S. Cavalry trooper in mid gallop, pistol drawn and horse in mid-stride with nothing but a small sage brush to support them. Remington believed that even if his work was not valued for its aesthetic appeal that certainly it would be appreciated for its historical value. Join us for two sessions in November for guided exploration of this wonderful bronze.
