About Us

Built in the early 1900s as a hunting lodge by Frederick Bourne, the fifth president of the Singer Sewing Machine Company, the castle was lived in by members of the same family until the 1960s when it became a religious retreat. Purchase by the current owners in 2001 Singer Castle opened as a tourist attraction in 2003. It is the only remaining complete and fully furnished castle in the 1000 Islands.
Hours
May 17 ? October 13 for tours ? May and Early June open Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday ? Weekend hours 10-4, weekdays based on tour boat schedule. June 20-Labor Day seven days a week 10-5 with tours on the hour ? last tour of the day at 4 p.m. Royal Suite available May 1 ? November 1.
