Turtle Trot

Description

The Turtle Trot Committee is very pleased to announce plans for a July 15, 2023 race. The event will be held at Whalen Park on Rt. 131 in Louisville. Same day registration will start at 8:30am; the race will begin at 10:00am.

Underdog Race Timing will once again provide professional timing services. If you wish, you may print a certificate with your name, the race, the date, and your time from the Underdog Race Timing website. Weather permitting, there will be a large TV monitor on which you can see the names and times of individuals as they cross the finish line. Former WMSA radio personality Jerry Manor will call your name and time as you cross the finish line. Medals will be awarded at the end of the race to first place male and female winners in 7 age categories; 15 & under, 16-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 6--69; 70+.

Curran Renewable Energy will be sponsoring free t-shirts to the first 250 who register by mail, on-line, or in person.

We are very pleased to announce that In-Law Brewing Company has again generously offered to give anyone of legal drinking age who registers for the race, a ticket for one free beer. Should you  choose to purchase an additional beer, 50% of that sale will be donated to the LVFD.

Also returning will be:

• Nicandri Nature Center will be on hand with some live turtles
• Breezy Maple Farms and Louisville Volunteer Fire Department bounce houses

To quench your thirst as you cross the finish line, Pepsi-Cola Ogdensburg Bottlers will provide a free bottle of water.

Participants must register individually. You can also:

• Register the day of the race
• Register by obtaining and submitting a printable registration form from the Town of Louisville HERE.
• Register on-line HERE.

There will be a door prize tent for those who register as well as raffle and silent auction tents. All proceeds of the race will be donated to the Louisville Volunteer Fire Department (LVFD).
