New rules for minimum wage and overtime are likely to impact many businesses in St. Lawrence County. On Wednesday, June 1st the St. Lawrence County Chamber monthly webinar series will help address some questions and concerns.
Jean Rowe, the Human Resources Manager for the United Helpers Organization, which employs over 1,000 individuals throughout St. Lawrence County will present on updates to the minimum wage and Department of Labor overtime payment rules, as well as other human resources hot topics. Ms. Rowe has been with United Helpers, in various roles, for over 15 years. Her expertise is in Employment Law and Benefits Administration. Ms. Rowe is also the Board President for the St. Lawrence County Health Initiative and the District Director for the NY State Society of Human Resources (SHRM) and the Legislative Chair for the St. Lawrence Valley SHRM Chapter.
Participants will need high speed internet and speakers. Microphone and video are not required.
The free monthly webinar series for members is designed to present relevant topics, by members to members. The presentation begins promptly at noon on the first Wednesday of every month and is over by 1pm, making it a lunchtime learning experience.
