Reserve your spot now for the North Country Civil War Round Table’s special dinner program on Sunday, September 23rd at Sergi’s Banquet Hall on Market Street, Potsdam. The featured speaker is Derek Maxfield, Associate Professor of History at Genesee Community College in Batavia, NY, who will present “Civil War Ancestors in Peace and in Pieces” about the most destructive war in American history which literally pitted family members against one another. Maxfield will explore the stories of his six great-grandfathers who all served in the Civil War, including four who were from St. Lawrence County. The dinner gathering will be held at Sergi’s beginning at 5:30 pm and the cost is $25 per person, which includes beverage, salad, entrée, and dessert as well as the program.
