Description
The Fight Hunger Fair and 5K is a new combined GardenShare event, it brings together the Growing Community Social, Hunger Action Month activities, and GardenShare’s annual Fight Hunger 5K. This will be a fun and family-friendly community event to bring awareness of food justice work in St. Lawrence County(SLC), anchored by our annual 5K walk/run. September is Hunger Action Month which is why the Fight Hunger Fair will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at the Canton Village Park, NY in the afternoon. Before, during and after the race, there will be fun and educational games and activities; like a story walk, radish toss, etc., and live music, as well as tabling of community partners who strive to alleviate local hunger and food insecurity.
