DESCRIPTION:The Remington Museum will join hundreds of museums worldwide in hosting Slow Art Day 2019. It's a day for art appreciators to slow down and spend some quality time in deep conversation with original works of art. Our volunteer educators will be on hand throughout the day to offer tips for looking and to facilitate conversation\, and will offer several One Hour One Work sessions. We'll have an art cart available for sketching in the galleries. From 11 AM to 1 PM Museum Education Specialist Laura Desmond will pair up with local artist Julie Pratt to introduce several works by Frederic Remington\, then Pratt will provide instruction and advice for sketching from Remington's works in the Newell Galleries.
