DESCRIPTION:Norwood Beach Duathlon\n\nNorwood Beach is once again hosting a trio of Duathlons this summer. A Duathlon is an athletic event that combines 2 different types of movement\, in this case biking and running. Participants will begin with a 1.5 mile run before hopping on a bike for 8 miles\, finally capped off by a second 1.5 mile run to the finish line. \n\n\n\nThis year\, the 3 races will be contested on June 28th\, July 26th and August 23rd. Registration for each race will begin at 5 p.m. at Norwood Beach\, followed by a 6 p.m. start time. The cost is $10 per race or $25 for all 3. \n\n\n\nAll bikers will be required to wear a helmet and anyone under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian's signature to participate. The event may be subject cancellation pending inclement weather conditions.
