In its ninth year\, the event is still young and its coordinators continue to learn and grow from year to year. All vendors who participate are included by invitation only\, which helps maintain the quality of the offerings. With few exceptions\, vendors at the Arts Fest make the work they sell many of them have won awards for their work\, have their work in shops and galleries (some even have their own galleries)\, have an online presence of one kind or another\, have had their work recognized in periodicals\, and many make a living with their work. The north country used to abound with shows like this\, until it didn't. We would like to be the instigator of more shows featuring quality work of the type featured at Mare's Wares Arts Fest. Help us support the arts by attending and supporting the artisans.
