DESCRIPTION:JOHN KIRK & TRISH MILLER\n\nCABIN FEVER CONCERT SERIES\n\nThis acoustic duet\, featuring John Kirk as the primary vocalist and instrumentalist (fiddle\, mandolin\, etc.) and Trish Miller on banjo\, guitar\, and fancy footwork\, has been performing and teaching in upstate New York for over three decades. They present a repertoire rooted in old-time music\, mixed with originals\, Celtic\, early country songs\, humorous selections\, and Appalachian clog dancing. Both are music instructors at Skidmore College\, and John is part of the music faculty at Bennington College as well. They have received various accolades\, including John's induction into the North American Fiddler's Hall of Fame. As teaching artists\, they have conducted school programs and residencies in music and dance heritage since the 1990s.
