Learn about the history of the area including an introduction at the Colton Historical Society. The historical hike will be a 1 mile round trip and good walking shoes are recommended. Parking is available at the trial head.\n\n\n\nHighlights Include: St. Lawrence Tannery artifacts and foundation and views of the Raquette River.\n\n\n\nWilliam Hill is a life-long Northern New York adventurer\, sportsman\, writer\, and outdoor enthusiast from Edwards N.Y.
