DESCRIPTION:The Potsdam Food Co-op and Big Spoon Kitchen of Potsdam continue their monthly partnership to bring "Dinner's in the Bag!" to the Co-op. At the 1st Thursday Sampling on January 4th everyone will have the opportunity to taste this month's featured offering created by Big Spoon Kitchen. Meal-Kits can also be purchased\, complete with the recipe and Co-op ingredients\, to make the meal at home. On Thursday\, January 4th from 3:30 - 5:30pm Moroccan Lentil Stew will be offered for sampling\, along with Meal-Kits to go. This hearty and colorful stew is vegan and gluten-free\; a delicious combination of tomatoes\, carrots\, onions\, chickpeas\, lentils\, and spinach. Characteristic of Moroccan cuisine\, it is delicately seasoned with a blend of warm and fragrant anti-inflammatory spices. This tasty recipe will feed 6\, but leftovers are easily frozen for a repeat performance! Moroccan Lentil Stew is a perfect cold winter meal\, and especially satisfying when accompanied by a thick slice of bread from the Co-op's Carriage House Bakery. For the entire month of January Meal-Kits for Moroccan Lentil Stew will be available at the Co-op for purchase. Each month at the 1st Thursday Sampling "Dinner's in the Bag!" will present a new recipe to try\, along with the ingredients to take home and create yourself. The Meal-Kits offer you the convenience of having everything gathered with all you need to make a quick and nutritious meal in your own kitchen\, no planning required. The Potsdam Food Co-op & Carriage House Bakery is located at 24 Elm St. and is open daily from 8am to 7pm. It is a member-owned cooperative grocery store (although membership is not required) where everyone is welcome to shop and anyone is welcome to join.
