In 2007\, Chris went to New Hampshire and studied with a Windsor chairmaker named Mike Dunbar\, who called himself the "Dean of Windsor Chairmakers."\n\n\n\nIt was a great experience and really opened his eyes to chair-making and repair\, which led to chair caning.\n\n\n\nChair caning is as important to chair repair as turning a new spindle or chair leg on the lathe\, and when done right\, it makes for a comfortable chair that can last decades\n\n\n\n.
