SUMMARY:Canoe/Kayak Race
DESCRIPTION:The Cranberry Boat Club will be hosting their Cranberry Lake Canoe/Kayak Race on Saturday\, August 12. Paddlers can choose a 8.5-mile course to Joe Indian Island or a 1.5-mile course to Matilda Island.\n\n\n\nPre-registration is encouraged and check-in will be at 8:00am - 9:30am at the Clifton Town Beach and/or front lawn of the Clifton Community Center. The race starts at 10:00am in the water in front of the Clifton Town Beach\, in the Hamlet of Cranberry Lake. Pre-registration online or at the day of the event is $25 per person. This is a USCA (United States Canoeing Association) sanctioned race. There will be two race distances from the start line (between water buoys)\, head south on Cranberry Lake around Joe Indian Island and back for 8.5 miles\; and from the start line around Matilda Island for 1.5 miles. Boats and PFD are inspected. Participants are required to sign a waiver/release of liability form.
